Connecting with others and aiding them on their journey of healing and self-discovery is my passion.

Many people believe therapy to be a one sided conversation with minimal opportunity to interact or experience one another as real people. I aim to give my authentic self to my clients where I invite them to ask questions, and share their thoughts, experiences, and emotions. My clients appreciate my ability to create a safe and relaxed environment with a healthy dose of humour. I want to help you find healing and make the changes in your life you are looking for, while you enjoy the journey as much as possible.

I work primarily from a client-centred, holistic approach where I empower clients to see their own inner strengths as they move through personal growth and healing.

I have competency and training in Person-Centered Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Self-Compassion, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Gottman’s Couples Therapy. The approach or combination of approaches I employ will be tailored to meet your needs and personality.

Hello! My name is Brooke and I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists. My work is currently being supervised by Margot Crane R.Psych (#4424), RSW.

For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by the field of psychology, with a deeply rooted desire to help others that is inspired by our innate capacity to heal. This work feels nourishing to my soul in a way that words cannot fully describe. Seeing my clients grow as they discover moments of reconnecting to themselves is a heartwarming experience.

I feel privileged to hold space with my clients where they invite me to listen to their life stories, share laughter, explore their greatest fears, and help them achieve their goals as I walk alongside them in their healing journey.

I hold a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Lethbridge and a Bachelor of Science in Honours Psychology from MacEwan University. Across my years of formal education, I have invested in additional training to build my competency in the areas of work that I love to do (treating trauma, anxiety, working with teens, nature & animal assisted therapy). I have received training in EMDR, Somatic Experiencing (Beginner Levels I and II), and Animal Assisted Interventions through Dreamcatcher Nature Assisted Therapy. I value ongoing learning and will continue to engage in training throughout my career.

I believe therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach. This means that m practice is integrative and informed through many therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, Somatic Experiencing Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Self-Compassion, and Animal/Nature Assisted Interventions.

Through therapy, my clients gain valuable insight into maladaptive patterns and behaviours as they learn practical ways to cope and create a more fulfilled and meaningful life.
